Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism
My Buddhist Practice
I Practice Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism and am a Proud Member of the SGI, the SGI stands for Soka Gakkai International, meaning “Society for the Creation of Value.”
My Buddhism was founded in the thirteenth century Japan by Buddhist Priest Nichiren Daishonin and was taught by the Soka Gakkai’s first three Presidents, Tsunesaburo Makiguchi, Josei Toda and Daisaku Ikeda.
A member of the SGI our President is Sensei Daisaku Ikeda, Buddhist Philosopher, Peacebuilder, Educator, Author, Poet and Nuclear Disarmament Advocate.
We recite Gongyo (Two parts of the Lotus Sutra) and Chant Daimoku (Nam Myoho Renge Kyo) in the morning and evening.
Nam-Devotion
Myoho- Mystic Law
Renge-Cause and Effect
Kyo-Sound
When we are challenging anything in our lives or are working to change something, we Chant Daimoku, the time that you chant is up to you, the longer you chant the faster you will move in the direction of your prayers being answered. I speak to you from many experiences, you will see and feel Proof.
I was first introduced to Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism by my good friend George. George Changed My Life.
George asked me if I’d heard of Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism and Chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo.
I had not, but I was interested, those words Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo resonated with me on the deepest level and I wanted to know more.
We Chanted together and it was Powerful, I felt the Door to my Life Open and I knew that I had the control to change the things I wanted in my life through this Buddhist Practice.
It is not outside of you, it is you connecting to the Universe and bringing about the benefits and change you are asking for by taking responsibility to make them happen. And Oh, the Benefits came, they came so quickly! I was excited and kept Chanting, every prayer was being answered in ways I could never have imagined.
There are so many experiences, benefits, challenges, joys that I have experienced always with gratitude and appreciation. Even the difficult times teach us to be stronger and what we need to do to overcome. When you Chant that wisdom flows out of you into the world.
Proof. You will see, feel Proof. I always say write down three things you want and Chant about them. Without a doubt you will see your life change, I speak from my life. I have seen so many friends grow, changing their lives, creating joys they never knew possible.
Never limit yourself, Never Give Up
We Chant to the Gohonzon a Mandala that Nichiren Daishonin inscribed with Nam-Myoho- Renge-Kyo down the Center that is the Clear Mirror to your Life and when you chant to the Gohonzon you are asking your life for the answers you seek not anything outside of you and the wisdom and benefits come to answer those prayers.
There will always be challenges in life but there is nothing that cannot be overcome with Daimoku (chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo)
I always say, I can tell you this tea is simply wonderful but unless you try it yourself you will not know just how wonderful it is.
I am so grateful, I have so much fortune in my life, I’m married to the Love of My Life, my Amazing Husband Jason, we’re the Happiest, Proudest Parents to our Beautiful Babies, Rico, Zen, Bella, Patty and Maximus. Our Babies are our Everything our Heart, our Joy. They bring our Lives So Much Love and Joy.
I am Forever Grateful to George for taking the time to care about me and my life by sharing Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism with me and I am so happy and grateful to share it with all of you.

Mindful Meditation has become very well known for reducing stress, improving focus and positivity.
Meditation can lead to a happier, healthier life.
Chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo out loud is a powerful, mindful meditation in which you are receiving the health benefits of meditation while also having the deeper benefit of believing in yourself, challenging illness and developing compassion.
